What does it cost to have a website built?
A landing page starts from €499, a business website with 3-5 pages from €899, an extended website with 5-15 pages from €1,499 and a webshop from €2,499. All prices exclude VAT. What you end up paying depends mostly on how many pages you need, how much text and photography you already have, and extras such as online payments or bookings. The quote names one fixed price, and that is what you pay.
Do you work across the Netherlands or only in Amsterdam?
I work across the whole of the Netherlands, from Amsterdam. Building a website does not require me to visit you. The intake is a video call or a phone call, feedback runs through WhatsApp or email, and you review the site along the way via a preview link. If you are in or around Amsterdam and would rather meet in person, that works too.
How quickly will my website be live?
Most websites are live within 1-2 weeks. A landing page often within a week, an extended website with 5-15 pages in 2-4 weeks, and a webshop takes longer. What slows a project down most is text and photos arriving late. That is why we agree at the intake who delivers what, and when, and the quote comes with a schedule based on that.
How does the homepage proposal work?
Before you pay anything, I build a proposal for your homepage. That way you see for real what your site is going to look like, not on a sketch. If you do not like it, you pay nothing and we part ways with no obligations. If you do like it, I build the rest of the site for the fixed price in the quote.
What do I need to supply myself?
Usually I only need your logo, a few photos and the basics of your text: what you do, for whom and how customers can reach you. If you do not have that text yet, I give you a list per page of what needs to be on it, which makes writing easier. If text or photos still need to be produced, we discuss that at the intake and it goes in the quote.
Do I own my website?
Yes. You own the code, the design and the content. The domain name is registered in your name and you get access to your own hosting. There is no website builder subscription that takes your site down the moment you stop paying. If you want to move on with someone else later, you take the whole site with you.
What happens after launch?
After launch you get a walkthrough of your site and I stay reachable for questions. If you want to change text and photos yourself regularly, I connect a CMS; if your content rarely changes, you simply send me the update. Hosting on Vercel costs €10-€25 per month and a domain name €10-€15 per year. Maintenance is optional: Basic at €49/month for security updates, backups and monitoring, Standard at €99/month adds content updates, Pro at €149/month adds continuous optimisation.
