I work with fixed prices, excluding VAT: you get a price in writing before I start and it does not change halfway through. These are the starting prices per website type, with the timeline you can expect.

What determines the price?
Two business websites can look the same on paper and still differ by hundreds of euros. This is what makes the difference.
- Number of pages: every page has to be designed, written and built
- Design: a unique design takes more time than an adapted template
- Functionality: a contact form is standard, a booking system or online payments are not
- Managing content yourself: if you want to edit text and photos, a CMS is added
- Languages: Dutch and English means twice the content
- Integrations with, for example, your CRM, accounting or newsletter tool

Custom or template: which is the better choice?
A template website is cheaper and ready sooner, but you are stuck with the theme's layout and carry code you never use. You notice that in load times and in Google. I build a custom website around your service and your customers, with only the code it needs. With Next.js such a site is usually live within 1-2 weeks: as fast as a template, but yours. You own the code, the design and the content.
Ongoing costs after launch
After launch you no longer pay for the build, but a website does have a few fixed costs.
- Hosting: €10–€25 per month, including SSL certificate, backups and monitoring
- Domain name: €10–€15 per year
- Maintenance (optional): from €49 per month for updates, backups and uptime monitoring
- Google Ads (optional): €499 setup, €299 per month for management
Freelancer or agency: why the price differs so much
For the same business website an agency easily charges €5,000 to €15,000. That is not because the website is better, but because of the organisation around it: an account manager, a project manager, a designer and a developer all bill hours. With me you speak directly to the person building the site. No overhead, no layer in between, and therefore a business website from €899 on the same modern technology.
How to save on the cost of your website
Saving does not have to come at the expense of quality. These choices bring the price down without hurting the result.
